At the Kentucky Department of Education, we have a team of individuals dedicated to using data to support the creation and ongoing implementation of the Commissioner’s strategic plan. This presents a unique opportunity to serve students by anchoring discussions and decision-making in data. Although many agencies are rising to the call to use data to guide decision-making, this type of work is often not shared, making it difficult to learn from best practices.
